Ex-boarding school teacher accused of child sex offences

A former boarding school teacher has been charged over alleged child sex offences against three boys dating back more than 30 years.

Jeffrey Nicholls, who taught at the now-closed St Aubyn's School in Rottingdean, East Sussex, faces three counts of indecent assault on a boy under 16, two counts of indecent assault on a boy under 14, and one count of making an indecent image of a child.

Sussex Police said four men reported they had been sexually assaulted as children by a teacher between 1990 and 1995.

The 73-year-old, from Cardiff, will appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on 21 May, the force added.
