Three Oxfordshire councils are holding local elections

Polling stations across Oxfordshire have opened for local elections.

Voters in Oxford will elect councillors to Oxford City Council, while elections are also being held for seats on Cherwell District Council and West Oxfordshire District Council.

Half of the city council's seats will be contested, while a third of seats are up for election in Cherwell and West Oxfordshire. Polling stations will close at 22:00 BST.

As in recent elections, voters will need to bring valid photo ID - such as a passport or driving licence - in order to cast their ballot.
