A woman has been charged over culpable and reckless conduct following a chemical incident in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to a property on Lenzie Terrace in Springburn at about 15:30 on Sunday, with nearby residents forced to leave their homes while police ensured the area was safe.

A 26-year-old woman was taken to hospital to be assessed, and has since been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. She is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court later.

Police said there were no injuries in the incident and there was no risk to the wider public.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it had three appliances and a specialist unit at the scene, but all had left by Monday morning.
