A disturbance broke out at St Osyth Holiday Park shortly after midnight on Monday, police said

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after two people were stabbed at a holiday park in Essex.

Police were called to St Osyth Holiday Park, near Clacton-on-Sea, shortly after midnight on Monday.

They said the victims' wounds were not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening, although one was taken to hospital.

The teenager, who was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, remains in police custody.

Essex Police said a 36-year-old man was also in custody, having been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker at the park in Beach Road.

A spokesman added: "Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident and would like to hear from anyone who has not yet spoken to us who may be a witness."
