A man has been found guilty of manslaughter after a woman fell to her death from a third floor balcony while trying to escape from him.

Tia Langdon, 25, fell from a block of flats at Cuckmere Lane, Southampton, on 28 August 2025 and died in hospital the following day.

Jaiden Hassan-Agard, 19, of Stour Close, Southampton, was convicted of nine charges against two women, including manslaughter, false imprisonment, assault and making threats to kill.

He is due to be sentenced at Winchester Crown Court on 22 October.

Langdon and a friend, Shannon McNeil, were helping Hassan-Agard to pack drugs at McNeil's flat when he accused them of stealing some, the court previously heard.

The defendant had two machetes and initially "took his anger out on a water bottle, stabbing it", prosecutor Sarah Jones KC told the jury.

He then punched Langdon in the face and threatened her with the weapons, before she fled to the balcony, the barrister said.

Langdon landed on concrete, suffering severe injuries to her head, torso and limbs, the court heard.

Hassan-Agard, also known as Rocco, was convicted of manslaughter and causing her actual bodily harm via the punch.

He was also found guilty of threatening to kill both women, threatening them with an offensive weapon in private and falsely imprisoning them, as well as a charge of kidnapping McNeil.

James Foster from the Crown Prosecution Service said: "Tia Langdon lost her life because of the fear, violence and intimidation caused by Jaiden Hassan-Agard's actions.

"He subjected Tia and another woman to threats and erratic behaviour, creating a situation which left her feeling as if she had no safe means of escape.

"He then compounded the suffering of those involved by refusing to seek emergency help and continuing to threaten and control the other victim in the aftermath.

"Our thoughts remain with Tia's family and loved ones, who have had to endure the devastating consequences of his actions."
