Two men have been arrested following a street fight involving a number of men in Keighley.

West Yorkshire Police said officers were called at 13:40 BST on Tuesday to reports of a fight between several men with weapons, including baseball bats. It was also reported that a car had been deliberately driven into another vehicle.

The men had fled before police arrived but following enquires a 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and later released on bail.

A 31-year-old man who had attended at hospital was also arrested in connection with the incident. He remains in hospital for treatment to an arm injury.

The incident happened at the junction of Devonshire Street and North Street, close to the Airedale Shopping Centre and Keighley Civic Centre.

Det Insp Dan Townend said the force recognised the community would be concerned following the incident.

"We are liaising with officers on the local neighbourhood policing team to provide reassurance," he said.

The officer also urged anyone who witnessed the incident or have CCTV, phone or dashcam footage to get in touch.
