Cowes Week fireworks: All you need to know
North Sails Cowes WeekThe night skies above the Solent are set to glitter and sparkle as the Cowes Week sailing regatta closes with a fireworks finale.
The display, last held in 2019 and which can be seen on the mainland, will close the week's racing involving hundreds of boats and thousands of competitors off the Isle of Wight as the event celebrates its bicentenary year.
Ferry companies are running pre-bookable party boat trips to watch the display from the water, events are also being held at Calshot and at Lepe Country Park car parks which will remain open until 23:00 BST - parking fees apply.
The North Sails Cowes Week fireworks will start on Friday at 21:30, off the Parade, Cowes.
North Sails Cowes WeekIn addition to road closures already in place for the regatta including the Parade and The High Street, Queens Road will be shut from about 17:00 as large numbers of spectators are expected to gather on Prince's Green to watch the fireworks.
At East Cowes, The Esplanade will shut at its junctions with Albany Road, Maresfield Road and Cambridge Road so spectators can gather.
Additional bus services and Somerton Park and Ride will also be running.
Cowes Floating Bridge has an extended timetable in place and will run as a pedestrians-only service during the display.
