Passenger dies from her injuries following crash

A female passenger in her 80s has died in hospital following a crash involving two vehicles.

Bedfordshire Police said the woman died from her injuries after the incident on the A600, near Chicksands, at about 15:40 BST on Saturday.

It said it involved a black Mercedes E220 and a black Seat Ateca. Four people in total were taken to hospital.

Sgt Ian Manley, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said his "thoughts were with the family of the woman who died" and appealed for any witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.
