Man seriously injured after being hit by lorry

A man has been seriously injured after being hit by a lorry in Nottingham.

Officers were called to Bulwell Lane, in Old Basford, at about 09:00 BST on Wednesday following reports of a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian.

Nottinghamshire Police said emergency services are currently at the scene and urged people to avoid the area while an investigation takes place.

The force added that road closures are in place and advised motorists to find alternative routes, thanking them for their patience.
