Jersey election 2026: Key dates for the diary

A total of 92 candidates are standing in Jersey's 2026 election.

The candidates have been announced, campaign videos have started to be published on social media, and posters have begun appearing on lampposts across the island.

Jersey's 2026 election period is well and truly under way.

As we approach election day on Sunday 7 June, the list below will be updated with more details about what is happening - and when.

But, for now, here are some of the key dates to know about.

April

Wednesday 29 April

  • All 92 confirmed candidates have been allocated a stand at Jersey's first ever Candidate Fayre, which is taking place at Oakfield Sports Centre from 08:00 BST until 20:00
  • Free shuttle buses will run throughout the day between Liberation Square and Oakfield

  • Postal votes need to arrive at the Judicial Greffe no later than 12:00 on this date to be included in the count
  • Counting will begin once polls close, with results expected later in the evening and into the early hours of the following day
  • BBC Radio Jersey will broadcast a special programme with all the results, reaction and analysis
