A total of 185 organisations were nationally recognised

Organisations across Devon and Cornwall have been recognised with a King's Award for Enterprise in 2026.

Five companies located in Devon and one in Cornwall have been given awards, out of 185 recognised nationally.

The awards celebrate the achievements of outstanding organisations with the government calling them the "UK's most prestigious business awards".

The Devon winners are Luminous Show Technology Limited, Pet Remedy Limited, Devoncraft UK Ltd, Services Design Solution Ltd, The Natural Mat Co Limited, with Mucky Nutz Ltd the sole Cornwall winner.

Luminous Show Technology co-founder Mike Badley said: "We are extremely proud to receive a King's Award for Enterprise in Innovation.

"It is recognition not only of the products we have developed, but of the engineering culture behind them - one built around innovation, problem-solving, safety, and continual improvement.

"For a specialist engineering company from the South West to receive this level of recognition is hugely significant for our team, our customers, and the future growth of the business."

The Devon company employs 17 people, was founded in 2017 and is one of the manufacturers of special effects hardware for the entertainment industry.
