City of Wolverhampton Council said it had been working to make sure "both of these popular attractions are ready and safe for residents to enjoy".

Anyone looking forward to visiting Tettenhall Pool was being encouraged to "enjoy the water safely and to be considerate to local residents and other users".

The council, which looks after the facility, added that it had "proven to be extremely popular during the school holidays".

Cabinet member for resident services, Qaiser Azeem, stated he was "very pleased to say that Tettenhall Pool and East Park splash play will reopen on Saturday ".

He said the authority reminded people to be considerate of nearby residents when visiting, to dispose of litter responsibly and, if bringing a dog, to keep them under control, on a lead and out of the water.

"We hope the weather will give plenty of opportunities for children and families to make the most of the water facilities.

"We would encourage visitors to wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and to come prepared with hats and sunscreen during warmer weather."
