Police have released an image of a classic car involved in a collision that killed one driver and led to the arrest of another.

The collision took place at about 20:20 BST on Saturday between a green Austin A35 and a black Mazda 6 Sport on the A34 southbound near Sutton Scotney, Hampshire.

A 63-year-old man from Romsey died at the scene.

Hampshire Police said the driver of the Mazda, a 21-year-old man from Tidworth, Wiltshire, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by driving without due care or consideration while unfit through drugs.

It described the Austin as a "rare and memorable vehicle" and issued a picture of it "to remind people who may have seen it being driven" at the time.

The man has been bailed until 6 December while investigations continue.

Police have urged anyone who witnessed the crash or captured anything on dashcam to come forward.
