Armed police have arrested two men suspected to be part of an incident where two men turned up at a property in Frome, Somerset, wielding machetes.

A car thought to be involved was flagged on an ANPR camera in Chippenham, Wiltshire, around 22 miles (35km) away at about 23:00 BST on Friday night, Wiltshire Police said.

Firearms officers found the car in Hunters Field, a residential road, where they arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of affray, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

A 20-year-old man was also arrested on the same charges, plus another for suspected drink driving.

Both arrested man have been released on bail pending police investigations.
