Officers have appealed for information after a convict absconded from an open prison in Derbyshire.

Derbyshire Police said George Buck was serving a 52-month sentence for theft of a motor vehicle and causing injury by dangerous driving when he left HMP Sudbury at 17:40 BST on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old, who is not believed to be violent, has links to Doncaster, Gainsborough, Nottingham and Worksop, the force added.

Anyone who sees him has been asked to contact Derbyshire Police.
