Vintage cars and seaside celebrations at fun days
Staffordshire County CouncilWith a couple of weeks left of the school holidays, families have been invited to enjoy vintage vehicles and celebrate the seaside at a Staffordshire venue.
Staffordshire History Centre, in Stafford, will be visited by two vintage vehicles on Tuesday 18 August, with the chance to sit in a 1924 Duchess Rolls-Royce.
Meanwhile, the free events include the current exhibition Leek to Llandudno which marks the "long-standing connection many people from North Staffordshire have with holidays in the popular Welsh coastal town", said the county council.
The following Tuesday brings a beach-themed day of crafts, story times and trails.
Hayley Coles, the council's deputy leader and cabinet member for communities and culture, said there was "something for everyone" at the centre in Eastgate Street, including researching family trees with the help of staff and volunteers.
"I'd encourage residents and visitors alike to come along and see what makes the centre such a special place," she said.
