Chorley Flower Show 2026 - how to get there and what to see

Chorley Flower Show has grown from a local flower show into a major attraction which last year saw 13,000 visitors.

Organised by Chorley Council, it was first held in 2015.

By the 2020s it was featuring well-known gardening personalities, Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) exhibitors, and community groups.

This year it will run from 31 July to 2 August in the grounds of Astley Park, surrounding Astley Hall in Chorley, Lancashire.

Anyone visiting by car should be aware there is no event parking in Astley Village (with the exception of Blue Badge only parking on Hallgate car park). But there is parking available in the town centre long‑stay car parks.

A park and ride service will run from Park Hall Hotel and Spa (Park Hall Road, Charnock Richard, Chorley, PR7 5LP) to the bus stop on Chancery Road in Astley Village throughout the three days of the show.

The Park Road/town centre entrance to Astley Park is about 10 minutes walk from Chorley's main town centre bus station.

By train it is about a 15 to 20-minute walk from Chorley station to the showground at Astley Park and a 20 to 25-minute walk from Euxton Balshaw Lane station to the showground.

In order to control traffic there will be a one-way system in place on Chancery Road in Astley Village from 08:00 BT to 18:00, with entry to Chancery Road from West Way (in the eastbound direction from the Tesco end of Chancery Road) and the exit will be at the Euxton Lane roundabout.

Areas of the ground floor of Astley Hall will be open, and show visitors will be able to see a floral installation by Rita Millat, finalist on BBC Interior Design Masters.

The three-day event will also feature professional show gardens, floral displays, gardening demonstrations, specialist plant nurseries, artisan food producers and trade stands.

A family zone will include sports, a climbing wall, rides and face painting.

Gardening expert and television presenter Charlie Dimmock, horticulturist and celebrity gardener David Domoney, interior designer Rita Millat, floral designer Jonathan Moseley, and gardening and cookery couple Martin and Jill Fish are all scheduled to appear.

The Red Barrows - a comedy troupe who parody the Red Arrows by pushing wheelbarrows around in formation, will be performing a reunion "flight" at the show, 35 years after they formed.
