Ken Price says the biggest problem is having no broadband for his business

People living in a luxury apartment block have said their flats will be left without power for almost a week.

Ken Price, who lives on the 35th floor of West Tower near Deansgate in Manchester, said he had to throw away all the food in his freezer after the electricity went off on Wednesday.

Price said he was told residents would have to wait until Monday before the power would come back on.

Urban Bubble, which runs the block, has been contacted for a response.

The power went off at around 23:00 BST on Wednesday

Residents say they have been without power since Wednesday

Price, who runs his male fashion business from home and depends on electricity to run his computer and internet router, said: "We were told there is a fault in the electrical system that affects all of the flats.

"The common areas and the lifts are working but none of the flats have electricity

"There are extension leads all over the place as it is the only place we can get power from.

"The owners have been great they have been very communicative. They told us power will be restored on Monday.

"It is not idea. The management has offered to reimburse every resident for hotels and meals but I'd rather stay.

"I have plugs into the hallway but the main thing is the lack of internet connectivity."
