Applications open for secondary school places
PA MediaParents and carers of Year 6 pupils in Wolverhampton can now apply for a secondary school place for next September.
Families have until 31 October to submit applications to the City of Wolverhampton Council.
Jacqui Coogan, cabinet member for children, young people and education, said applying before the deadline could increase the chances of securing a place at a preferred school.
"This is one of the most important decisions you can make for your child, so please don't miss the deadline," she said.
The council said all Wolverhampton secondary schools would hold open events in the coming weeks, giving prospective pupils and their families a chance to look around.
Drop-in sessions are being held at Wolverhampton Civic Centre for anyone who needs help applying online.
The sessions will run from 10:00 BST to 14:00 BST on 24 September, 15 October and 29 October.
