Blackburn Rovers will find out their second-round opponents on Monday

Blackburn squeezed through to round two of the Carabao Cup as late goals from substitutes Andri Gudjohnsen and Jayden Fevrier sealed a comeback win over League One Burton.

Rovers had trailed for large parts after 18-year-old Zac Scutt opened the scoring after 14 minutes.

Blackburn goalkeeper Balazs Toth had to make an early double save as Albion made a fast start but Todd Cantwell and Yuki Ohashi both spurned good early chances to put the Championship side ahead.

Burton made them pay when Scutt slotted home from close range after Kyran Lofthouse's shot had been saved by Toth.

Albion keeper Corey Addai came to his side's rescue saving from Cantwell after an error from defender Finn Delap and the keeper also saved from Ohashi just before the break.

Burton almost doubled their lead early in the second half. Kegs Chauke's cross evaded Matty Dennis but Lofthouse saw his far post effort cleared off the line.

Blackburn finally equalised with nine minutes to go when Gudjohnsen headed home Cantwell's cross from point blank range.

And Fevrier saw Blackburn through on Tony Mowbray's return to the Rovers dugout, curling home from the edge of the box with two minutes to go.
