  1. City's first game since guilty verdictpublished at 14:12 BST

    Manchester City

Manchester City will face Liverpool in the Premier League after an extended international break.

It is the club's first game since they were found guilty of the majority of the 115 Premier League charges.

The match will take place at Anfield on Sunday, 11 October at 16:30 BST.

Manager Enzo Maresca will be speaking to the media in his news conference on Friday.

  2. City arranged 'sham contracts'published at 14:08 BST

The Premier League issued a scathing statement after Man City were found guilty of 114 charges.

City arranged "sham contracts" with a number of commercial partners as part of a scheme to disguise secret funding of more than £830m, the Premier League says.

The League confirmed that City have been found guilty of all charges related to breaches of Premier League financial rules between the 2009-10 and 2017-18 seasons.

An independent commission found that, during that time period, the club arranged the "sham contracts" as well as "relying on sham agreements to artificially inflate the club's revenues and reduce its costs".

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Marco Rose on his squad depth heading in a busy period: "We have to deal with it. Some players are coming back. Maybe one or two weeks and it looks a litle bit better but if you suffer new injuries you suffer again.

"I feel us in a good spot because I see how the other lads are working and see the shape of them. We have a good week of training, most players came back well from their national teams.

"We are in a good spot and still have a good team."

On his work over the international break: "We analysed the first seven games, we saw we have some really good stats but still only have three points in the Premier League. There must be a reason and we analysed the things. We showed the lads some positive stuff and some stuff to work on. Now we have to bring it on the pitch."

    Coventry City

Coventry City boss Frank Lampard on former club Manchester City's guilty verdict: "We've all seen the news, it's obviously big news, Man City are appealing. I guess my reaction is that, right?

"What can you say when an appeal is going on? I'm not inside the story, I'm outside it completely. I played for Man City a long time ago now, for one year. We'll wait and see what the result of the appeal is and onwards. I don't know the timelines at all."

On the impact on season: "I don't know, for Man City? I'm outside the loop. I have this job and my, not problems, but things I need to work on and I always respect a manager for whatever situation, there are a lot of things you don't know. This is obviously something we do know but they are obviously a huge football club now, a huge squad of quality players so we will see."

Lampard played for Man City in the 2014-15 campaign.

    Leeds United

Leeds boss Daniel Farke on James Trafford's two appearances for England during the international break: "Two games, two wins, delighted for him. He's had an impressive and terrific start in the Premier League for us, and he fully deserved to get another call-up and delighted for him to have two more appearances under his belt. I was desperate to sign him, not just this summer, I'd tried before, because I'm fully convinced of his qualities as a goalkeeper and as a human being."

    Leeds United

Leeds boss Daniel Farke on the Man City verdict and the potential impact on the Premier League: "Not my topic. My topic is football. There are more qualified people to speak on this.

"It makes no sense if right now everyone wants to have an opinion about this topic. There are more qualified people to talk about this. It's nothing to do with me, I was not involved in the title race during those years."

Since Man City were charged, the game has moved on. Pep Guardiola is no longer at the helm at the Etihad and Liverpool have waved goodbye to Jurgen Klopp but all will be asked for their views on one of the most significant moments English football has known.

Of course, some will remain tight-lipped but others may let their thoughts be known a little more.

"No [injury going into the England debut against Croatia]. The club already said everything about it.

"It's disappointing. I don't want to blame anyone. We're very happy he is in the England national team. He did well."

  18. City lodge appeal against guilty verdictpublished at 13:34 BST

It was confirmed on 2 October that Manchester City have lodged an appeal after an independent commission found the club guilty of all charges relating to breaches of the Premier League's financial regulations.

In a short statement, the club said the commission's ruling contained "clear material errors, of law, principle and fact and is unsafe".

Asserting its innocence, the club added it had filed "a comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence [that] exists in support of all of its positions" on Thursday evening.

One section of the Premier League regulations says that an appeal hearing should conclude within 12 weeks of it being heard, and a decision communicated within 30 days of that.

Twelve weeks from last Thursday – when City say they lodged the appeal – would be 24 December.

  20. 'Retrospective punishments' to hit Man City?published at 13:30 BST

A number of Premier League clubs want Manchester City to be hit with both "retrospective punishments" and sanctions for the future for their mass financial rule-breaking, sources have told BBC Sport.

One senior club source said City should be stripped of their titles, and added there was "no great rush" among clubs to push for the redistribution of trophies, but rather to take honours away and leave them vacant.

A number of Premier League figures therefore, believe any points deduction should be split over multiple seasons, while there is also a sense that transfer bans that stretch over a number of windows would also significantly hinder City's ability to regain their top-flight status as quickly as possible.
