  4. Robinson hails decisive Olusanyapublished at 17:57 BST 9 May

    FT: Aberdeen 2-0 St Mirren

Aberdeen manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland: "The first job done that we set out to do was to steady the ship and make sure we are well away from the relegation play-off spot, which looked like somewhere we could be heading.

"Credit to the players, they've bought into everything. We've tried to get them more solid and more organised and that's three clean sheets in a row."

On Toyosi Olusanya's influence, including a goal and an assist, Robinson says: "Delighted for him. He's a lovely boy and someone I've worked with for a long time. He causes chaos. Anything goes in behind, he's so strong.

"The first goal, there's not many players can hold the defender off and have the composure to set Stuart [Armstrong] up for a fantastic finish.

"He scores himself. There's lots of his game he has to keep working on, and he knows that. But I certainly wouldn't like to play against him."

  5. McLeish 'embarrassed' after painful defeatpublished at 17:54 BST 9 May

    FT: St Mirren 0-3 Kilmarnock

St Mirren interim manager Craig McLeish's interview has just been described as "a car crash" by the pundits on BBC Scotland's Sportsound after he admitted apologising to the players who he substituted off the pitch.

"I'm embarrassed first and foremost," he says. "It's my responsibility, I'm leading the group. There's frustration, there's anger.

"It's the first day since I've taken over the group that I've been really disappointed in us. We were second best all over the pitch. We didn't show the fight and desire.

"We owe the fans an apology. We didn't fight. We've said some harsh truths in the dressing room. It's now out of our hands, we have to rely on results from others and take care of ours first and foremost.

"We had players on the pitch that weren't fighting and that's not acceptable. If you're not going to fight, you're not going to step foot on the pitch. I have to go with the players I can trust."

  6. Stenny's history still on course - justpublished at 17:52 BST 9 May

FT: Stenhousemuir 2-2 Queen of the South (3-3, 4-3pens)

Stenhousemuir's dream of reaching the Championship for the first time continues after a dramatic penalty shoot-out against Queens.

On-loan Motherwell midfielder Olly Whyte put the part-timers 2-1 up in extra-time and then fired the winning spot kick.

It looked like Queens might upset the form book despite having finished 13 points behind the runners-up in the league table as they headed to Ochilview unbeaten in 10 outings.

But Gary Naysmith, who will leave to take charge of Ayr at the end of the season, will feel his side are favourites to join his future club in the Championship as they will now be facing an Alloa side who finished two places below them in the table.

  7. 'Learning curve' for Arfield as Livi losepublished at 17:50 BST 9 May

    FT: Dundee 3-0 Livingston

Livingston interim manager Scott Arfield: "I don't think that game was ever a 3-0 game. Not a chance. In possession, we were excellent at times. We just need to reward ourselves in big moments.

"We had large in-play possession without really, really going after them and then the times that we do, probably symbolic of the full season this season where the pass or the cross or the shot's just not accurate enough to cause real, real problems.

"I've got three games, that's the remit. I really enjoyed the day, obviously outwith the result. The process was a learning curve for me. In terms of the process and preparing for a game differently, I actually really enjoyed it.

"It's not my thing. I think I'm very, very immature in terms of that process. It was my first-ever game preparing for a game as a manager. I feel as if I've still got a lot to give as a player also."

  8. McGlynn laments defending and clinical Hibspublished at 17:46 BST 9 May

    FT: Falkirk 1-3 Hibernian

Falkirk manager John McGlynn tells BBC Scotland: "You can't give Hibs the start that we gave them, a goal in two minutes, a very cheap corner kick we conceded and we didn't defend it.

"You give yourself a poor start in the game, you give Hibs a lot of encouragement, you give them a base to go from.

"Although I thought we played quite well after that, I thought we passed the ball really well. I thought we got down the sides, we got some balls in the box without maybe getting anyone on the end of it and didn't really force the goalkeeper into many saves.

"Hibs were very clinical with the opportunities they got. Second half, we've had a bit of a go, we got a good go back with Ben [Broggio] and there's been other opportunities.

"However, it was a little bit too late."

  9. Pressley 'couldn't be prouder' of Dundeepublished at 17:42 BST 9 May

    FT: Dundee 3-0 Livingston

Dundee head coach Steven Pressley is delighted that his side are now safe from relegation.

"At times, it's been very difficult this season, especially in the early stages," he tells BBC Scotland. "There was a lot of doubt. There was a lot of difficult moments. There was a lot of soul searching.

"To keep going, to keep fighting away, I couldn't be prouder of the group. There was some bleak times in December and it takes a lot to keep going and this group just kept finding a way, kept taking those small steps forward and eventually came through. We've proved some people wrong.

"It's nice to hear [supporters singing my name], but the reality is, in the early parts of the season, there was some other Pressley songs that weren't too complimentary, like 'get out of our club'.

"It allows us to look more aggressively at the market now. Now I can have a little bit more focus towards next season."

  10. Penalties at Ochilviewpublished at 17:39 BST 9 May

Stenhousemuir 2-2 Queen of the South (3-3)

Stenhousemuir and Queens are, indeed, into a penalty shoot-out in their Championship Play-off semi-final.

  11. Hibs players 'got their rewards' - Graypublished at 17:38 BST 9 May

    FT: Falkirk 1-3 Hibernian

Hibernian head coach David Gray tells BBC Scotland: "Delighted for the players.

"I know there was a lot of pressure going into the game today. I thought our first-half performance was really, really good in terms of real difficult pitch, this surface, a difficult place to come and play.

"But the players carried out that game plan really well in the first half, scored three really good goals and a real professional performance in the second half.

"In terms of the last three games, the results and the challenges we faced, they certainly got the rewards today."

  13. 'Lack of goals unacceptable' - Goodwinpublished at 17:32 BST 9 May

    FT: Aberdeen 2-0 Dundee United

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin has criticised his side's lack of goals, describing the last two games as "unacceptable".

"The first 45 minutes was really, really poor," he tells BBC Scotland. "I don't think there was a great deal of quality from either team in the opening period.

"We got done with one ball over the top for Toyosi Olusanya, which is something we analysed all week. We spoke about it and worked on it in training.

"At 1-0, we are always in the game. The second-half was slightly better but nowhere near good enough for the quality of players that we have. To not have scored in the last two games is not acceptable.

"I just reminded the players there are two games to go, the season is not over. We've got a great travelling support coming up the road from Dundee today, who paid their hard-earned money to come and watch their team and we didn't give them a good enough performance."

  14. Heading for spot-kicks?published at 17:30 BST 9 May

Stenhousemuir 2-2 Queen of the South (3-3)

It looks like the remaining Championship Play-off semi-final is going to penalties.

Olly Whyte put hosts Stenhousemuir into the lead for a second time after 103 minutes, but Queen of the South levelled through the second goal of the game from veteran striker Nicky Clark.

  15. All to play for in Pyramid Play-offpublished at 17:26 BST 9 May

FT: Brora Rangers 1-1 Edinburgh City

Edinburgh will be regarded as favourites in the Pyramid Play-off final after leaving Brora with a draw in the first leg as they look to extend their 10-year spell in the senior leagues despite finishing bottom of League 2.

The Highland League champions will need were pegged back after taking an early lead in the first leg.

But they retain hope of reaching the senior leagues for the first time in their history and remain unbeaten in four meetings with Edinburgh following a previous Scottish Cup win and a victory in the 2015 play-off semi-final.

  16. 'We've not done anything yet' - McCannpublished at 17:24 BST 9 May

    FT: St Mirren 0-3 Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock manager Neil McCann is delighted with a win that takes his side closer to safety but is taking nothing for granted.

"We came to really difficult place, full stadium, St Mirren would come at us," he tells BBC Scotland. "We were ready for it.

"I felt there was massive belief among the players. To get the win is so pleasing. We showed today how good a side we are.

"The fans have really come with us. We were in a difficult position when we came in. They've seen we're a good side and we're playing in an attractive manner that's engaging them.

"We showed in the second half how good we can be. It could have been four or five, but I don't want to be too greedy.

"We've not done anything yet. We've got a brilliant three points and we'll enjoy it."

  18. Accies overcome off-field problemspublished at 17:19 BST 9 May

    Scottish League 1

Having had a 21-point deduction that mean they finished second bottom of League 1, Hamilton are facing a winding-up order off the field, but there were no signs of the turmoil as they eased to an aggregate win over Forfar.

Clyde will face them in the final as Spartans were held to a 1-1 draw at home to finish the season without a win in four games, and four at home, despite having finished runners-up, one place ahead of today's visitors.

The Bully Wee will be looking to end a three-year spell in the fourth tier.

  19. Who will be League 1 hosts in Hamilton?published at 17:13 BST 9 May

    Scottish League 1

It was mentioned here before kick-off in the League 1 Play-off semi-finals - and it has come to pass.

We'll have a unique final between Clyde and Hamilton.

Clyde are currently based at The Hamilton Community Stadium after leaving Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld in 2022 following a dispute with North Lanarkshire Council.

Meanwhile, Accies have been playing at Broadwood, 15 miles from Hamilton, this season after a dispute between the club's former owners and the stadium owners.

Accies' new owners plan a return to New Douglas Park next season and, with Clyde still searching for a new permanent home in Glasgow, the play-off final will decide which of them will be hosting League 1 football there and which will be playing in League 2.

  20. Curtis receives hero's receptionpublished at 17:09 BST 9 May

    FT: St Mirren 0-3 Kilmarnock

    Kheredine Idessane
BBC Sport Scotland at the SMISA

This has been mightily impressive from Kilmarnock, whose fans have gave Findlay Curtis a rousing reception when the on-loan Rangers winger was substituted.

Two chances, two goals - a lethal display from the 19-year-old.

Many were expecting a tight one here this afternoon, given what was at stake.

Kilmarnock were streets ahead, really, which will be a worry for interim boss Craig McLeish, who has to lift his side for the final two games knowing that avoiding the relegation play-off is no longer completely in their own hands.

The Ayrshire side have now only lost one of their last eight visits to Paisley and can secure their Premiership status at home to an already safe Dundee on Tuesday.
