Europa League

Two huge draws for Bournemouth and Sunderland!

The Black Cats will travel to the San Siro, while the Cherries will host the Italian giants at the Vitality Stadium.

Europa League

Up first, it's the Europa League draw.

Scottish side Celtic are placed in Pot Two.

Premier League trio Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Sunderland feature in Pot Three.

The draws for the Europa League and Conference League are taking place in Monaco.

The draws will be held at a joint event, with the Europa League first of the two.

As with both the Champions League and Europa League, the Conference League will consist of 36 clubs. However, the Conference League will only play six league phase matches, instead of eight.

With the press conferences from David Moyes and Alvaro Arbeloa now complete, we can turn to the draws for the Europa League and Conference League.

Fulham

Fulham boss Alvaro Arbeloa says the club are unsure on the severity of Luc de Fougerolles' injury, which forced him off in the second half of Thursday's match. They hope it is 'nothing serious.'

He also spoke about the Canadian's future at the club: "He needs to play every week. Maybe we have to take a decision over the next few days on what is the best solution for him."

Fulham

Fulham boss Alvaro Arbeloa, asked about signings before the transfer window shuts next week: "I think we could improve in every position. If you ask any manager, everyone thinks they can improve.

"For me, who just started, I am looking for players that can fit in my system. I think we are ready to improve the squad in the next few days."

Speaking of the Fulham boss... let’s hear what he had to say in his press conference.

Up next for Fulham is a (long) trip up north to face Sunderland.

The Black Cats were excellent on their return to the Premier League last season, qualifying for European football when most betted on them to go straight back down to the Championship.

Regis Le Bris' side proved no trouble for the Whites last season who 1-0 at home in November and cruised to a 3-1 victory at the Stadium of Light in February.

In fact, the last time Sunderland beat Fulham in the top flight was 17 years and six matches ago in January 2009.

Everton will hope their supporters can help them push for two wins from their opening Premier League fixtures.

Let's shift our attention now to Fulham, who are chasing their first victory of the campaign after Monday’s 3-2 defeat to Chelsea.

Everton boss David Moyes on the away support travelling to Bournemouth on Saturday: "I've been in the game long enough, I'm a football supporter myself, and I think the people who follow their club for years and all over the country, it takes a lot to do, a lot of effort, costly as well. It's difficult for supporters so we don't take it for granted and I think that our away support over last season was fantastic."

Everton boss David Moyes on the encouraging signs he's seen from his players so far: "It's very early days. and we're really pleased with the opening two games and we need to try and continue to build that momentum and get us in a position where we think we're strong. We still need to get stronger than what we are at the moment."

On the most positive aspect: "I think we've played well in the games and also we've been trying to create more chances, I think that's certainly evident in the games against both Crystal Palace and Preston. That's a positive for us, we took some of the chances the other night [in the League Cup], we had some bigger ones against Crystal Palace we could have taken."

Everton boss David Moyes on injuries in the squad: "Hayden Hackney had rolled his ankle last week so that's why he didn't play midweek. We'll see, it'll be touch and go for Hayden I think. Christian is still not making great progress at the moment so it's not something that we're probably going to get back quickly. We just need to see how that develops."

On James Garner's return from injury: "He's not fine because he's not played any games in preseason so if we hadn't had the injury to Hackney, we wouldn't have started him in the game against Preston. He's made a remarkably quick recovery from his hernia which is great. I think he did great in the game, I still think he's off his levels at the moment but it's the minutes he needs in the games and he's getting bits of the games which hopefully he'll soon pick up."

With Thierno Barry looking to score again this weekend against Bournemouth, Moyes has given an update on who will be available to play alongside the striker at the Vitality Stadium.

Everton boss David Moyes on Thierno Barry's confidence as a striker: "To give the boy a lot of credit, I think he's tried to improve himself and those things are sometimes things you need to do yourself.

"Of course we give him confidence, we do in every game, but ultimately you have to get it yourself. What it does for striker scoring goals and getting in the right position and playing well if you can.

"All players are the same, they want to make sure they have a good, good first touch, good challenge. Centre forwards judge a lot of their confidence by the goals they score."

Everton boss David Moyes on how to manage players playing out of position: "Merlin [Rohl] is thrilled to be starting games, he's desperate to play, desperate to show what he can do. By the way I think he's shown up really well in what he's done, I think that it's made maybe a few people question us talking about bringing in another right back.

"I think they've seen Merlin play really well. He's done really well and he's not a player who's questioning being out of position so we're really happy from him."

Everton boss David Moyes on players stepping up to play out of position: "I think when you've got a small squad like we have, we need players who are going to be flexible and play different positions and accept different jobs at different times.

Great example was how James Garner played when he went to right back.

We want players who are going to not really question it, want to do the job and we've had to that a couple of times. Harrison Armstrong had to play a bit wider last year for a couple of games at different times. With a small squad like we've got, we have to try and make the players flexible and thankfully we've got a few that are doing that."

Everton boss David Moyes on the support he is feeling from the club in getting transfer targets: "All managers are always looking for more. I'm trying to give Evertonians the best I possibly can and push for everything. That's my job to try and get them the best team I can."

On if he gets the final say: "Yeah. Mostly I do. We have lots of scouts out working. I've certainly got an idea of a lot of players throughout Europe. So getting the right ones, bringing them to the table at the right price, players who we're interested in, it sort of gets through the recruitment team who break it down and bring it."

Everton boss David Moyes on how hopeful he is to bring targets before Deadline Day: "Not sure yet but we'll do our very best to get something here if we can."

On Everton's problem during the transfer window: "It's probably not different to any other window. I don't think there's much to say. The World Cup has probably played a part in things moving a bit later. I think the prices being so large at the start [of the window] probably has got a certain group of clubs unable to compete at that level. Everybody's interested."
