Everton boss David Moyes on the potential outgoing of Iliman Ndiaye: "I wouldn't talk about individual players at other clubs. Jack [Grealish] isn't at our club. He was brilliant for us, great boy, but it's wrong for me to talk about him if he's at another club. We're certainly not in a hurry to sell our best players, that's for sure.

"As far as I know, we've got nothing to be concerned about, we've had no contact from any club. Somebody told me we had contact with Al-Hilal during the summer, we had nothing from them. There's a lot stuff that floats around which is not always true. Maybe this is true but certainly the stuff previous wasn't."

Regarding transfer speculation around Toffees winger Iliman Ndiaye, Moyes says: "We're certainly not in a hurry to sell our best players."

Ndiaye scored six goals and made three assists in the Premier League last season.

Everton will travel down to Bournemouth on Saturday after a good start to the Toffees' season.

They breezed past Preston in the League Cup with a 4-0 win and kicked off their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace.

However it seems all the chatter will be focused on transfers today, with Jack Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye in the headlines.

Sources have told BBC Sport that Grealish's preference would be returning to Merseyside, joining Everton permanently from Man City after his loan to the club was ended prematurely with a foot injury back in January.

Meanwhile, City are looking to bring in Ndiaye after the Senegalese international has rejected multiple contract offers on Merseyside.

"It is great when family comes and it is the best gift because it looked like we could not meet each other until the international break, that is quite long and then she decided very short notice that she will come [to the next home game] and that is the best present, spending time with your family.

Oliver Glasner celebrates his 52nd birthday today.

He got an early present with the £50m arrival of Liam Delap on Thursday and is chasing at least one more signing before Tuesday's deadline.

Forest want a right-wing back and his former Crystal Palace man Daniel Munoz fits the bill, although the Austrian refused to publicly comment on Forest's interest, which is real.

Glasner has lost his opening two games - both to Leeds in the Premier League and Carabao Cup - and has already urged for patience and time.

He again underlined it will take time to develop the team into his vision - something opposite number tomorrow Andoni Iraola will echo after he took over at Anfield in the summer.

Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner on why Forest is the perfect club for Delap: "I believe he had a difficult season at Chelsea, with much higher expectations, especially from himself. And then in the last weeks he was not allowed to train with the team, they had a separate training group.

"It is clear you have to look for a club where you have better chances to get minutes and reignite your career and that is why we think we are the right club. The way we are playing, he is a player who needs a little bit of space. His strength is his power, his finishes. I think [that is] what he can get here and on the other side, we get a player that is still young, also he has proven that he can score many goals in the Premier League.

"As I mentioned it was the profile that convinced us and his personality when we had talks. He is hungry, he wants to improve, he wants to make a step forward and this is what we are looking for when we sign players - that they are hungry, ambitious. So the entire package looked great."

Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner on signing Liam Delap from Chelsea: "We were in talks for many days to be honest, we tried to convince him and obviously we could convince Liam that Nottingham Forest is the right club, at the right moment for where he is in his career.

"Also I think, before he picked Chelsea, everybody in the Premier League wanted Liam after his amazing season at Ipswich. When we heard that it was possible [to sign Delap] and we were looking for a striker, with physicality and especially pace and runs in behind. We had other profiles, with a top top striker in the box with Chris Wood, a proven Premier League goalscorer.

"We are playing more with a number nine, with Igor [Jesus]. We were looking for this profile and Liam was the fit. We are the perfect club for him and I am convinced that he is the perfect player for us."

On the last week: "It was really busy, the last days, of course playing a midweek game and also not playing both Leeds games successfully. It was a lot of analysing and talks and of course besides that, the transfers are also an important topic.

"But now it is 100% focus on the Liverpool game because that is the most important thing in the next 30 hours and then we have three more days to get the deals over the line."

Nottingham Forest will face Liverpool on Saturday for their second Premier League match this season.

Forest began their 2026-2027 campaign with a 1-0 defeat by Leeds United at the City Ground.

The same fixture was played on Tuesday during the League Cup second round. Forest lost 2-0 and Leeds progressed to the next round.

Glasner's side will be hoping for a different story against Liverpool.

In his news conference on Thursday, new Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola praised Glasner's side and said "You can see, straight away, the shape and they don't concede a lot of chances."

Fabian Hurzeler spoke to the media last night after his side confirmed their place in the Conference League league phase with a 4-0 win in their play-off second leg against Tromso.

He said: "I'm very happy for the players, for the fans – they created another good atmosphere. It was very energetic, very special."

"We are very grateful for this opportunity. We know it will be a big challenge we have to face, but we seem to be ready."

"The key will be that we can maintain these standards. They key will be that we can maintain this intensity in the Premier League but also in Europe.

"Hopefully we are prepared for that. We will try to give our best, go game by game, and then we see what happens."

Brighton secured a return to European football for the first time in three years by putting four goals past Norwegian side Tromso to claim a Conference League place.

After last week's frustrating goalless first leg, the Seagulls set the tone for the evening with three first‑half goals from Charalampos Kostoulas, Maxim de Cuyper and Mats Wieffer.

Oliver Boscagli's strike in the 86th minute put the seal on a resounding Seagulls win, after his earlier effort had been ruled out for offside.

Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler called it a "do or die" game before kick-off, and will be delighted with a second 4-0 win in the space of five days, after their Premier League opening victory over Aston Villa.

Tromso were unable to replicate their disciplined first‑leg display and finished the night without an attempt on target.

Hurzeler's side will now play in a European competition for only the second time, having reached the Europa League last 16 in 2024.

Jack Hinshelwood and Georginio Rutter were both missing from the second-leg squad after being involved against Villa.

New signing Jaouen Hadjam also did not feature after completing his move from Swiss Super League champions Young Boys on Wednesday.

Goalscorer Wieffer made way for Pascal Struijk at half-time, who collected his first minutes for Brighton after completing a £20m summer transfer from Leeds.
