    Back under way.

A change for Chelsea during the hydration break, Aaron Anselmino replacing Jorrel Hato in defence.

  2. Postpublished at 78 mins

Xabi Alonso is deep in conversation with Cole Palmer.

Palmer doesn't look to be carrying any effects from the knock which kept him out of the Juventus game.

We have our second hydration break.

It also looks like another change or two for Chelsea.

  4. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 75 mins

    Chelsea 3-0 AC Milan

Geovany Quenda has been very lively since coming on.

A nice drop of the shoulder to open space to take a shot on his right, which hits the outside of the post and flies wide.

  5. CLOSE!published at 73 mins

    Chelsea 3-0 AC Milan

Nicholas Jackson has had an impact since coming on, using his touch and strength to play a nice reverse pass to Cole Palmer - but his low shot is well saved by Lorenzo Torriani.

Torriani, who is usually third choice keeper at Milan, has played well today despite conceding three.

Watching Marco Palestra on the near side, one of his thighs has heavy strapping.

Palestra has been less impactful in the second half, so perhaps Xabi Alonso will take off the Italian before the end here.

It is notable that two of Chelsea's three goals today have come from set pieces.

They look more cohesive today than they have for several months.

Austin MacPhee has only been at Chelsea a few days and he is looking like one of our best signings. Goals from set pieces is what we have been missing.

  9. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Chelsea 3-0 AC Milan

Geovany Quenda looks to be free of the defence after a long ball, but his first touch is poor and it allows Milan to recover.

Quenda does enough to win a corner though.

  10. CLOSE!published at 64 mins

    Chelsea 3-0 AC Milan

Geovany Quenda chips a cross to the far post on the left, which Marco Palestra chests down but can only fire wide.

Still goals in this game for Chelsea.

Interesting to see Nicholas Jackson coming on for Chelsea. Does he have a future at Stamford Bridge under Xabi Alonso?

We have a stoppage in play after a clash of shins between Goncalo Ramos and Wesley Fofana.

Nicholas Jackson comes on for Danny Welbeck, a straight change up top.

Pedro Neto also makes way, coming off for Geovany Quenda.

    Chelsea 3-0 AC Milan

Chelsea are peppering poor Lorenzo Torriani here. Cole Palmer has a shot from the edge of the area, straight at the Milan keeper.

Xabi Alonso is prepping a couple of subs.

  14. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Chelsea 3-0 AC Milan

This is a pre-season friendly, and this is not a vintage Milan team.

But this is a showing to give a lot of confidence to Chelsea fans, after the defeats to Spurs and Juventus. They have been the better side and are knocking the ball around nicely.

  15. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Chelsea 3-0 AC Milan

Chelsea are ripping Milan apart here.

Jorrel Hato leaves two black shirted players on the turf as he charges to the byline, but his cut back is too close to the keeper.

Technically speaking, Joao Pedro scored his second goal before his first goal. 47 minutes on the clock for his first, 46 minutes for his second.

    Very pleasing stat, Aidan.

    Moises Caicedo (49 mins)

    Brilliant goal!

A Chelsea corner is half-cleared to Moises Caicedo standing in the edge of the D, and the Blues captain finesses a volley with the outside of his right boot which curls into the right bottom corner.

Chelsea have started this second half like a rocket and Milan have had no response.

Maybe Xabi Alonso showed Joao Pedro that comment from Steve at half time.

Pedro is one goal away from his second pre-season hat-trick, after netting three in the 6-4 win over Western Sydney Wanderers.

Realistically, given we still have players yet to return from post-World Cup summer break and the vast number of squad players we have to sell or loan - it’s going to take until at least mid-September before we really truly see what an Alonso Chelsea team looks like.

    Joao Pedro (46 mins)

What a start to the second half!

Lovely in-swinging cross from the right from Pedro Neto, Joao Pedro slips around the back post and finishes from close range.

Lorenzo Torriani got a hand to it but couldn't keep it out.
