    Man Utd 0-1 PSG

Well, it's good to be given a proper test in pre-season - and this looks like being a proper test for Manchester United.

This young PSG side looks to be full of quality and eagerness to impress.

    Man Utd 0-1 PSG

PSG have started this game like they mean business.

They turn the ball over in midfield and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia fires a low shot from distance that Tom Heaton has to parry away.

Heaton, 40, then needs to be up quickly to smother the rebound. Nervy times for United.

Great start for the European champions!

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia shows his quality with a lovely ball around the corner for Dro Fernandez to swing a low cross in from the left.

Fernandez's cross evades the sliding Ayden Heaven, and 18-year-old striker Ibrahim Mbaye buries his chance at the far post.

The stands look to be a sea of red, plenty of Man Utd fans out in Sweden today.

They are roused when Bryan Mbeumo looks to get away from the defence early doors, but he concedes a foul on Ilya Zabarnyi.

Most clubs are still filtering players back into their squads at different times following the World Cup.

Manchester United do so today – with Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui involved in pre-season for the first time.

The same is also true for PSG, who travelled to Gothenburg this morning with seven of the side that started last May’s Champions League final victory over Arsenal, including two of their stars, skipper Marquinhos and Nuno Mendes.

There is no Ousmane Dembele, nor Liverpool target Bradley Barcola, who were involved at the World Cup until the last weekend as France lost to England in that mad third-place play-off match in Miami. The same is also true for £42m new arrival Maghnes Akliouche.

However, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who did not play in the World Cup as Georgia failed to qualify, is named.

Just one change to Manchester United’s starting line-up as Noussair Mazraoui replaces Leny Yoro at right-back.

Skipper Bruno Fernandes, full-back Diogo Dalot and new signing Youri Tielemans are all on the bench as they, like Mazraoui feature in their first pre-season game since the World Cup.

Shea Lacey continues after his excellent performance against Atletico Madrid last week, with Mason Mount continuing in central midfield alongside Andrey Santos.

Man Utd XI: Heaton, Mazraoui, Heaven, Maguire, Shaw, Santos, Mount, Amad, Lacey, Dorgu, Mbeumo. Substitutes: Mee, Heath, Dalot, Fernandes, Zirkzee, Yoro, Tielemans, J Fletcher, T Fletcher, Amass, Armer.

PSG’s squad contains seven players who started the Champions League final victory over Arsenal.

However, Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha and Joao Neves are all on the bench.

PSG XI: Safonov, Pacho, Zabarnyi, Koukaba, Boly, Beraldo, Dro, Mayulu, Kvaratskhelia, Ayari, Mbaye. Substitutes: Marquinhos, Mendes, Lucea, Vitinha, Joao Neves, El Ney, Drame, Idder, Bourdin, Ndjantou, Meite, Longoni, Chevalier.
