    Janith Liyanage has got his role to play and the foundation was set by Kusal Mendis.

    Looking at how the approach has been, there has been no imagination in previous innings, but this has been brilliant with everyone chipping in for Sri Lanka.

    There's the 300, with Janith Liyanage making room and cracking Jamie Overton's opening delivery wide of long-off for a one-bounce four.

    Dunith Wellalage then drops into his lap scoop attempt - I think he'd typically be trying to lift the ball through fine leg, but he connects quite far through his swivel and actually sends it towards the ropes at third.

    Josh Tongue is on the boundary, he dives but can't stop the ball going for another four - he almost got smacked in the face on the bounce too.

    Wellalage clips the next delivery in the air in front of mid-off but the ball drops safe.

    I can certainly tell you that Brendon McCullum, Kevin Pietersen, Marcus Trescothick as coaches will not fear any total and how to chase it down.

    They will make it clear to the batting group that this is well chaseable.

    Pavan Rathnayake can't beat Joe Root's throw from deep cover, with Jos Buttler collecting the ball in front of the stumps and bringing his hands round to smash off the bails.

    Rathnayake tries to make his crease with a dive, but he's well short.

    Often, people can shy away, but he has not done that. Fair play to him.

    Look, nobody means to drop a catch, but I think overall those chances you want them taken.

    However, it can happen to anybody.
