My cat's name is Pumpkin. We called him Pumpkin because we got him at Halloween. We got him from the Cat Protection League where they used to call him Spitfire as he was a bit wild.

He is about four years old and is very much a house cat. We open the back door to let him out and he just sniffs the air and runs back in.

We feed him every day with dried cat food. Iams Lamb is his favourite.

He spends most of the day sleeping or eating and at night we let him down into the cellar so he can look for mice. He hasn't found one yet but he often comes back up with his whiskers full of cobwebs.

When we first got him he was very nervous and I remember taking him into school for 'Show and Tell'. I told the teacher that he was very shy and she let me go second after another girl demonstrated her trumpet. He was quite upset.
