Almost 7 dances

By Rachel Thorpe
I think it's time for us in Essex to dust of the old dancing shoes and challenge Hampshire to a dance-off.

The lovely Hannah Green is the Blast reporter for BBC Hampshire. She came up with the crazy scheme of learning seven dances in seven days and reporting back on how it went. In my madness, it brought back memories of my dancing days, So I on behalf of Essex have challenged Hannah, on behalf of Hampshire, to a dance-off.

However, with just under two weeks left here at the BBC, I need to get moving or we may not even equal Hannah's seven dances! Here goes ...

Dance One : Belly Dance

Check out the feature.

Dance Two : Street Dance

Read on to find out all.

Dance Three : Barn Dance

See how I got on.

Dance Four : Jazz Dance

I interview a professional dancer.

Dance Five: Dancing on Skates

I went to see Starlight Express.

Hannah in Hampshire

Make sure you chart Hannah's progress too...

At the end of my BBC placement I've only managed to do five dances. Hats off to Hannah, who was obviously far superior in terms of quality. But I've still had a great time learning to boogie!

Get involved

Think you can do better than me and Hannah? Why not enter the Blast bust-a-move competition? You have until 10 November to create an amazing new routine, video yourself strutting your funky stuff, and send it in.
