Strong winds and large waves this evening may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from 16:45am to 20:15am on Friday 9th October. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers or on the coast, with spray being seeing on the seafront paths. Flood gates in the area will be closed by the Local Authority which will make access difficult. Please take notice of the Flood Sign at top of South Beach Road. The detailed forecast is for a peak level at King's Lynn of 3.74mAODN at 18:15, on 9 October, which is 0.22m above tide tables, Wind Force 6, Westerley. The high tide tomorrow at 06:30am is expected to also be above flood alert thresholds at 4.04mAODN. We are closely monitoring the situation .
