That was a massive last point. A combination of why Jakub Mensik is a dangerous player - that power, then a lovely touch to finish.

Oh ho! Another drop shot, coming at the end of a lengthy baseline exchange, leaves Alexander Zverev flat-footed at the back of the court.

For only the second time at this year's tournament, Zverev has been taken to a fourth set. Jakub Mensik has been a player reborn since his medical timeout early in the third.

In double-quick time, Jakub Mensik leads 40-0. And of course, it's a drop shot - this time from his backhand - which brings up set point.

That's more like it from Alexander Zverev! He wallops a cross-court forehand winner from out wide for 30-0 and holds to love with a down-the-line winner off the same wing.

It is one of those moments where I am surprised. Everything was pointing towards Alexander Zverev comfortably taking control of this third set.

Well, well, well. Jakub Mensik raises his fist after coming up with a forehand drop-shot winner.

What was I saying about Alexander Zverev not facing a break point since the first set?

Well, here's one for Jakub Mensik - a well executed drop shot is just about retrieved by Zverev but the court is wide open for Mensik to put away the winner.

Alexander Zverev gets a bit frustrated with himself after a run of unforced errors help Jakub Mensik hold to love. He was tetchy in the previous game too when one of his serves was given out.

He needs to make sure he keeps his composure here - he's two sets up after all.

I'm not sure if it is reflective of how Alexander Zverev is feeling, but he seems to have moved closer to the baseline.

Alexander Zverev has poor Jakub Mensik on a string, dragging him from corner to corner across the baseline before dropping one short which leaves the Czech sliding beyond the tramlines. As Zverev winds up for the forehand winner, Mensik launches his racquet into the open court in desperation. 30-0.

The German holds to 15. He hasn't faced a break point since game eight of the first set.

Jakub Mensik jogs back onto the court to a ripple of applause.

The third set is on serve.

I did see Jakub Mensik feel for his groin late in the second set. I feel he also has some issues with his neck.

On his serve he does drop his head, and we have seen some of these double faults and that might be contributing potentially.

Jakub Mensik opens the game with an unconvincing serve and volley attempt, rather labouring into the net and failing to pick up a low forehand.

Next point, he's back to his deft best, teasing Alexander Zverev with a well-placed drop shot, the German failing to get there before the second bounce and sliding into the net. 15-all.

Mensik holds to 30 but it looks like he's going to get some attention from the physio at the change of ends.
