Wigan deserved that. From the start they were the team on fire, they were the team that created all the opportunities.

York will be disappointed because a lot of people have backed them this year and thought they would do some damage in this and that it would have been a bit closer.

Wigan have showed what a classy team they are and have shown they are here to win all three [trophies] again this year.

Wigan are back on their way to Wembley!

It was a comfortable afternoon's work as they ran in nine tries to put 50 on the board and 'niled' York in the process.

Isabel Rowe stood out with an excellent performance with the boot, while Anna Davies and Ellise Derbyshire scored two tries each in a comprehensive win.

Half-back Jenna Foubister, who scored in the first half, also played brilliantly and the Challenge Cup holders will go into the final as favourites as they wait to see who they will face with St Helens and Leeds Rhinos battling it out tomorrow.

It's another great team try. They are turning up in all the right places.

TRY: Wigan 52-0 Yorkpublished at 13:16 BST 9 May

    Anna Davies

And moments later - Anna Davies gets her second as Wigan move past 50!

Georgia Wilson finds Grace Banks, who offloads with the back of her hand for Davies to crash over.

Isabel Rowe's goal kick hits the post which means she doesn't end with the 100% record her kicking performance probably deserves.

CONVERTED TRY: Wigan 48-0 Yorkpublished at 13:12 BST 9 May

    Anna Davies, goal Isabel Rowe

Wigan winger Anna Davies crashes over for her side's eighth try of the day!

There looks to be a forward pass in the build up but when Wigan get moving there is nothing questionable about their finishing - they have been ruthless today.

Davies barges past three defenders to score.

Isabel Rowe isn't going to let her 100% record with the boot go without a fight, either, as she nails her eighth successive conversion right from touch.

    Wigan 42-0 York

Wigan's Isabel Rowe attempts a long pass to the right but Anna Davies can't quite get her fingernails underneath the ball to add to the scoreline.

Sade Rihari then breaks a tackle for York in midfield but she is brought down before another forward pass lets her side down.

    More frustration for York.

Incorrect play of the ball is the call by referee Tara Jones and Wigan get the ball back.

It was a great spiral kick from Ellie Williamson and you could tell that Banks was trying to find her feet.

It just wasn't a clean take and she knew herself, she picked it up and just stopped.

  11. DISALLOWED TRYpublished at 13:03 BST 9 May

    Wigan 42-0 York

Isabel Rowe attempts to kick in behind on the last but uses the wrong club and the ball goes dead.

After Wigan regain possession, Georgia Wilson scores Wigan's eighth but will it count? Video referee Cameron Worsley is checking for a knock on.

The try is disallowed for a knock on by Grace Banks and Wigan's eighth is ruled out. Scoreline back to 42-0.

    Captain's Challengepublished at 12:58 BST 9 May

    Wigan 42-0 York

Wigan challenge the decision of a knock on as they return the ball following the kick-off restart.

The challenge is successful after a review from video referee Cameron Worsley.

When it's going your way, it's going your way!

Players shouldn't be walking through like that.

I've been on the end of that and it's tough, but it was too easy for Coleman there.

She goes through the middle of two shoulders, spots the gap and finishes nicely.

Mary Coleman gets her second of the match as Wigan hit 40!

The prop gets through the middle of two missed tackles and dives over in the left edge before Isabel Rowe makes it seven from seven with the boot.

    Wigan 36-0 York

Determined running from Grace Banks gets Wigan on the march and the ball is played over to Anna Davies on the right but she is tackled on the last in front of the line by Petra Woods.

Excellent defending from the York winger.

That's the more like the York we are used to seeing.

The forwards carry, they try to get off loads and create a little off the cuff play, and that is what they need to do.

  17. Postpublished at 12:49 BST 9 May

    Wigan 36-0 York

York's Megan Pakulis is held up before Jas Bell is wrapped up a couple of yards from the sticks as the ball is handed over.

Good defending from Wigan who are determined to 'nil' their opponents.

  18. Postpublished at 12:45 BST 9 May

    Wigan 36-0 York

Izzy Bibby gets up the field for York but another handling error lets Valkyrie down in attack.

In return Wigan get to halfway on the third but good pressure from York's Tara Moxon forces the error.

The match might be gone at this stage for York but this is about personal pride.

York are expecting the kick, but it's the second time now that Wigan have caught them out playing on that last tackle.

York have got to be tighter with their defence. It was obvious what was going to happen.

Magnificent from Isabel Rowe - Wigan are cruising to Wembley.
