No split in strategy between the two Mercedes drivers. Mercedes are putting all their eggs in one basket and are very confident right now.

What do Ferrari do here, then? They had expected Charles Leclerc to come in but he didn't.

"We're just losing time!" Lewis says over the radio. He's not happy.

Lando Norris has to react right now or try and go much longer and try to offset his strategy.

Mercedes go for the double stack and George Russell joins Kimi Antonelli into the pits.

Here's the critical point of the race folks. And both Mercedes have got out cleanly. Antonelli is out in fourth, ahead of Oscar Piastri.

Lando Norris is now the leader of this race.

Kimi Antonelli and Lando Norris are now getting into traffic.

Norris picks up some turbulent air and goes a bit wide into the penultimate corner but keeps his McLaren on the straight and narrow.

But just as he does so, Antonelli boxes...

If you're Kimi Antonelli leading this race, maybe you can get to the end but Lewis Hamilton is around a second quicker a lap. If he were to make a stop, he would come out behind Hamilton. Do Mercedes try to stick to these hard tyres or do they take the risk on fresher tyres and try to make a move on Hamilton?

Just past the halfway point here.

Some cracking overtaking so far but it's very much in the balance in terms of who's going to win this, I reckon.

Leclerc is now closing in on the back of Russell, he's bringing him in by about a tenth of a second every lap. Those two Ferraris are on the move.

So, what's the situation at the front?

Kimi Antonelli's got a 1.1 second gap on second-placed Lando Norris.

But George Russell might start having trouble from two absolutely flying Ferraris behind him soon.

I know Formula 1 is about results but it's such a joy to watch Ferrari this season, regardless of whether they're challenging for wins or podiums.

Some of the tyre management and racing from Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc has been sensational in 2026.

Some great work from the pair of them on Oscar Piastri, there.

An easy pass for Hamilton. Piastri's tyres have completely gone after that battle wth Leclerc. He was a sitting duck.

Lewis Hamilton's right on the tail of Oscar Piastri and he puts in an absolutely sublime move to take position and move into fifth.

But has Hamilton left too much out there? Piastri hovers around the back of him in the aftermath of the overtake but it looks like Hamilton's made it stick.

  17. Postpublished at Lap 34/72

Charles Leclerc moves to the inside, swings back to the right and puts his foot down!

And he takes position against Oscar Piastri! And bad news the McLaren man - Lewis Hamilton's right behind and is in touching distance of him.

  18. Postpublished at Lap 33/72

If this overtake's going to happen, it looks like it's going to be at the start of the lap.

Charles Leclerc sizes up a move on Oscar Piastri into turn one but he decides against it.

While this goes on, by the way, Lewis Hamilton's closing up behind them and is just over a second behind, now.

Charles Leclerc's glued to the rear of Oscar Piastri's McLaren but it looks like the Ferrari man is biding his time in terms of an overtake.

The Ferrari has all the pace right now.
