    We have got the driver tracker that goes around Monza. All of the dots [representing the drivers] are on top of each other. It is going to be bedlam.

  3. So as we approach the final 10 minutes, the story so far is that Mercedes look like they're on top, Ferrari look strong and Max Verstappen's in the mix.

    But it's looking pretty crowded out there right now.

    Jasmin and Paul are seeking shade from the extremely warm tempertaures at the fanzone in Monza in the dedicated Kimi Antonelli tent. While decked out in their Ferrari gear, surely they must admire the 20-year-old home driver?

    "He's Italian, and we're very proud," says Jasmin. But Paul adds Ferrari "have two excellent drivers" in Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.

    "Kimi's time will come at Ferrari," he says, with both confident the lure of the prancing horse will entice Antonelli "sometime in the future".

    "Defintely, after Lewis has retired, in a decade or so" adds Paul.

  5. Kimi Antonelli goes second fastest but he can't quite dethrone his Mercedes team-mate George Russell from top spot.

    He goes in with a 1:22.696, just over two tenths off Russell.

  6. About a quarter of an hour left in the session and some faster times are going in.

    George Russell betters his own time with a 1:22.463 while Max Verstappen goes in just over three tenths behind.

    Williams desperately need a good weekend, 11 points, ninth from the championship. They are struggling this year. Both drivers have signed new contracts. Big signs of commitment to the team, big signs of faith in what they are doing in the long-term project.

    Talking of Ferrari, Hamilton gets the decision as to whether or not he goes out first or second this weekend. They take it in turns, race by race, which car gets priority in qualifying. It is just how it works.

  13. George Russell's fastest lap just now was aided in part due to a tow from his Mercedes team-mate Kimi Antonelli.

    Team work makes the dream work etc etc..

    The track's rubbering in and ramping up, now.

    George Russell's just zoomed into top spot with a 1:22.687, a time that's three-and-a-half tenths faster than his Mercedes team-mate Kimi Antonelli.

    And both on the soft tyre, too.

  15. We're looking a bit bunched up in the top three at the minute.

    Less than a tenth separates Kimi Antonelli, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton so far.

  16. Whereas the first two practice sessions on Friday were dominated by Ferrari and then Mercedes, this session's quite a mixed bag.

    Kimi Antonelli aside, I'm not sure we've really seen the best of any driver or team at the minute.

  17. Team radio - Red Bull to Verstappen

    Engineer: "That's a good lap in free air."

    Verstappen: "Yeah but I need the tow, to see the difference again, this is slow."

  18. It's a crowded old track out there at the minute.

    Oscar Piastri's having a pretty miserable time in his McLaren so far as he locks up going into the first chicane. He isn't the first, and he won't be the last to do that.

    Kimi Antonelli is really setting the marker. It will be incredibly frustrating if you are George Russell and Antonelli technically gets pole, obviously he won't start there as he is starting at the back but Antonelli is absolutely flying. That is raw pace from the Mercedes.

    No one can get anywhere near him so far.
