Swindon Town have signed teenage midfielder Anthony Munda from Premier League club Newcastle United on a season-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old joined the Magpies in 2012 and appeared for the first team during a friendly against Hull City two years ago.

The England youth international played 31 times for Newcastle's U21s side last season, scoring three goals, and has also featured in five EFL Trophy matches.

His loan move to the County Ground will be his first spell in senior football.

Munda told the Swindon website: "I feel like the point where I am in my career now, I'm ready for it. I feel like it's a really good club to be at. We play great football, so I feel like it's a good step for me.

"I spoke to the manager, and he liked how athletic I am, how I can get round the pitch and my bit of quality on the ball, so I feel like the conversations I've had have been quite positive."

Swindon have signed defender Kaelan Majekodunmi on a one-year deal following a trial with the club.

The 22-year-old has spent his career up to now playing in Australia, inlcuding a spell with Perth Glory, and has represented their under-20 and under-23 side at international level.

His deal with the Robins includes the option of a further 12 months.

Forest Green Rovers have signed centre-back Filozofe Mabete from Swindon Town on a six-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old made 26 appearances for the Robins last season after signing from Wolves during the summer and will stay with the National League side until 2 January.

Swindon have signed Wigan forward Joseph Hungbo and Bolton defender Sam Inwood on season-long loans.

Hungbo, 26, began his career at Crystal Palace before moving to Watford in 2019, making 17 appearances for the Hornets.

Following loan spells at Aldershot, Ross County and Huddersfield, he joined German second division side FC Nuremberg in 2023 and Wigan two years later.

Inwood, also 20, is a Northern Ireland youth international who spent last season on loan at Aldershot

Ian Holloway's side begin their League Two season away to Northampton on 15 August.

Swindon striker Jake Tabor has signed for National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee.

Tabor, 22, signed for the Robins in 2025 and played 14 games in total around loan spells at Bath City and Eastleigh last season.

Southend United have signed two former National League-winning midfielders - Darren Oldaker from Swindon Town and former Barnet player Anthony Hartigan.

Defensive midfielder Oldaker, 27, captained Chesterfield to the National League title in 2023-2024, before joining League Two Swindon Town last May.

He went on to make 40 appearances for the Robins, scoring once in the league and once in the FA Cup. Southend said he had joined for an undisclosed fee.

Central midfielder Hartigan won the National league title with Barnet in 2024-2025, before making 32 EFL appearances for the Bees in 2025-2026, scoring once. He joins on a free transfer after the expiry of his Barnet contract.

Southend finished sixth in the National League last season, before losing their play-off eliminator away to Scunthorpe United.

They will start the season under former Newcastle United and England midfielder Kieron Dyer who was appointed head coach earlier this month.

Dyer replaced Kevin Maher, who was sacked on 19 May, just two days after Southend's win over Wealdstone in the FA Trophy final at Wembley.

Dyer said: "Both have had promotions from the National League, both are capable of playing to a really high standard in League Two, and probably would be one of the best pairs in that league, so to get them in and joining the project is a massive coup."
