Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: "The performance [against Rangers] was really good and we were disappointed not to take all three points on the night.

"In the build-up, I spoke to the players about building on that positivity. The ovation at the end of the game was brilliant, they really appreciated the effort.

"It's all well and good doing that for one game but we have to do it consistently throughout the course of the campaign. We know how difficult a fixture this is.

Falkirk manager John McGlyyn tells BBC Scotland: "We weren't happy with last week.

"We didn't play well at all so it's an opportunity for players to come in and show what they've got. The performance wasn't anywhere near the levels that we have achieved, miles off that, so we've changed it around. We are in transition but I'm looking for an improved performance.

"Motherwell have more or less started this season the way they finished last season and we know we're in for a hard game but there's energy and ability in the team.

"We're looking for a much improved performance."

Hearts head coach Wouter Vrancken tells BBC Scotland: "I was forced with the changes. There's a lot of games, a lot of managing minutes. We had to make two changes at half-time in Benfica.

"Others have to be ready to fill in those positions, even when it's not their favourite position. But they want to make it work.

"When you're not disappointed, it's not a good sign. So, there's been disappointment for sure, especially over those last two goals.

"We have to take the positives and also the negatives. We showed some good things in Aberdeen but in the end, we lost. The result gives extra confidence and that's what we need for our mental state."
