    Right result, wrong scoreline.

FT: Plymouth Argyle 2-0 Exeter City

What drama. Home Park is still rocking as the home fans celebrate a famous win.

Alex Hartridge had had some tough abuse from the visiting fans in the first half, but he got his payback with that goal before Pepple's winner.

It was noting more than Argyle deserved - they had the bulk of the chances, and had Will Evans had his shooting boots on would have been well out of sight before the late drama.

    Plymouth 2-0 Exeter

As always, they save the Home Park drama for the closing stages...

Two goals in two added minutes to settle the Devon derby against 10-man Exeter and tee up a tie with Premier League Coventry in round two.

The red card for Ethan Sutherland in the final minutes proved the tipping point and Alex Hartridge, who played 172 games for Exeter, nodded home a deep corner for his first Plymouth goal on his first Plymouth appearance, before Bim Pepple settled it with a goal which owed plenty to City's calamitous defending.

The Grecians were game for the vast majority of the game but it's the League One club who go through and City are left to focus on League Two.

    Bim Pepple (90+4 mins)

    Game over.

    What a mess.

Freddie Issaka manages to beat Luca Woodhouse and keeper Jack Bycroft to a looping ball forward and lays the ball off to Bim Pepple, who strokes the ball pretty tamely past the wrong-footed Woodhouse, who gets in a terrible tangle on the line.

Not one anyone will want to watch back, you'd think, except Plymouth fans perhaps...

    It had to be him...

The former Exeter man Alex Hartridge pops up on his debut for Plymouth to nod in Harvey White's corner at the far post.

He's trying not to celebrate but he's grinning ear to ear.

What a way to get your new fans on side.

  7. INJURY TIMEpublished at 90+1 min

When already on a yellow card, that is a silly decision, one that he did not need to make.

A very easy decision for the referee.

A nightmare debut for Wolves loanee Ethan Sutherland.

He tugs back Matty Sorinola as he tries to latch onto a ball down the right channel and it's his second caution for a foul on the same player.

His debut ends 23 minutes after he came off the bench.
