If Fulham win easily today which is very possible it would not even be a shock.

    Liverpool 0-0 Fulham

Fulham's most promising spell of possession ends with Alex Iwobi firing straight at Giorgi Mamardashvili. That was Fulham's first serious attempt.

Liverpool are trying to get both Frimpong and Robertson as high as they can, with Jones and Szoboszlai dropping into the full-back positions. It is causing Fulham problems in knowing when and how to press, and they are getting pushed back.

Seems like the standard story playing out again, 25 minutes gone and we’re on top, shouldn’t be long before Fulham score now.

LFC won the title last year with Klopp's team and style of play. Slot has put his stamp on the team & it isn’t effective or pleasing to watch. Tactically inept and out of his depth. Needs to go asap.

Time for some of the players to accept responsibility instead of it all falling on Slot's shoulders and give the fans what they want. Fans get behind the team. COYR!

This is the quickest and most incisive I have seen Liverpool play in weeks. One and two touch football. It's been good so far, but what I will say is that Fulham still carry a threat the other way on the counter attack.

To be fair, Liverpool are working hard.

    • 65.5% possession
    • Six attempts
    • One on target

The only thing missing from their play is a goal.

    More applause all around Anfield.

This time in memory of Diogo Jota.

They will never forget Jota in these parts.

Cody Gakpo is due a goal.

A snapshot by the Dutchman who saw a gap and his attempt from the edge of the box flashes just wide.

Now a first Fulham corner in front of The Kop but Giorgi Mamardashvili gets a strong hand to it. Liverpool are back on the attack through Dominik Szoboszlai.

I don't think it's a penalty. Ngumoha is looking for it, he is stretching and throws his body down. It's Bobb that makes the challenge, well it's not a challenge because he takes his foot away. Spot on from the referee.

Fans marching in front of The Kop with a long banner reading: "No to ticket price increases". Applause all around Anfield. Followed by a chant that can be best described as colourfully critical of the Liverpool's owners.

    Talking of Ngumoha...

The 17-year-old goes down in the box after a challenge by Oscar Bobb and Liverpool fans scream for a penalty.

    Anthony Taylor says play on.

Every time Rio Ngumoha gets the ball there is a lift in the crowd. He gets fans off their seats. He brings a buzz and excitement. If anything can be levelled at him at the moment is the end product. It will get better but it will take time.

Gakpo and Salah up front could be very sluggish based on this season. So I'm glad to see Rio starting. He'll be brave and forward thinking.

Salah snapshot, confident from him. Over recent weeks he would have taken a few touches to set himself up. He tries to catch out Leno with the snapshot but it was a good save from the keeper.
