Chloe Craig conceded a penalty, scored another and was sent off in an eventful first half as Celtic drew to dent Glasgow City's SWPL title hopes.

Hosts Glasgow, who were hoping to return to within two points of leaders Hearts, were awarded a spot-kick after Craig tripped Lisa Forrest but Forrest's attempt was saved by Adelaide Gay.

Linda Motlhalo did find the Celtic net when she received Amy Muir's pass near the D and lifted a shot high over Gay.

The visitors then won a penalty of their own. Tara O'Hanlon's cross was blocked by Emily Whelan's arm and Craig converted for parity.

Moments later, though, Craig's game was over. She fouled Forrest just inside Celtic's half and was ruled to have denied a goal scoring opportunity.

After the break, Mebae Tanaka chipped against the post as Glasgow tried to force a second, O'Hanlon able to clear the rebound under pressure. Emma Brownlie also threatened, her effort saved by Gay.

Tanaka volleyed wide at a corner and team-mate Natalia Wrobel swept a shot across the face of goal in the closing stages.

The draw means City trail leaders Hearts by four points with three games to play and slip below Rangers to third on goal difference.
