Martin Odegaard looked back to his very, very best and it's like a new, brilliant signing. Eze back up and running, like a new signing as well. Madueke had a number of injuries last season, Kai Havertz as well.

They probably only need one more signing and they are, by some distance, the team to beat this season.

Arsenal fans have waited a long time and it's been nearly so many times in the past and you just wondered if that team could become a winning dynasty. Well, they've got it.

I'm not saying they're going to do it but they're capable of it. I think they're going to add a little bit more between now and the transfer window closing but that team out there looked comfortable with themselves.

Arsenal debutant Christos Tzolis assisted two goals - and played more passes into the final third than anyone else in the Gunners team.

The thing that I'm struggling to get my head around is City don't look like a team unit going forward. They look like a team of individuals.

Someone has to be selfless and run forward to make space and help the whole team and everyone working off the ball, but it's not been like that. It's been really predictable.

City's Omar Marmoush runs onto a ball over the top and then he takes a really heavy touch in the box enabling Cristhian Mosquera to clear.

Jack Grealish, under pressure from Bukayo Saka, gets the ball caught under his foot and it rolls out for a goal-kick.

"Is there a fire drill," sing the Arsenal fans as City fans stream out to make their way back from Cardiff to Manchester.

City just haven't got the best manager in the business managing them anymore. They haven't looked as controlled.

Are they going to be in the top two, three? Yes absolutely, don't worry about that City fans, but are you up there with Arsenal? You look a wee distance behind.

The reason they were raving about him was because he was about to be replaced by Eberechi Eze. Martin Odegaard trots off a second after getting that yellow card.

As the TNT commentators rave about how good Martin Odegaard has been, he takes his eyes off the ball and fouls Jack Grealish - earning himself a yellow card.

He has been brilliant to be fair (apart from that).

David Raya has made four saves - to Gianluigi Donnarumma's two - on top of potentially keeping a clean sheet. Another good game from the Arsenal man.
