    Spurs trying to walk the ball into the net is the same as Arsenal did for years, but their players just aren't as good.

    Think we have to be realistic as Spurs fans and give the manager and team time. We cannot keep having revolving door of managers, this hasn’t helped in the past. The team need to find their identity look at Brentford they know exactly who they are. This makes them successful.

    How they didn't score there I do not know. You've got to score there.

    Another huge clearance by Zion Suzuki and this time it finds Nicolas Jackson who looks to skip past Micky van de Ven and go through on goal.

    However, he fouls the Spurs skipper and it's a free-kick to the home side.

    I think it's dangerous at Premier League level to overplay, which is one of Spurs' problems.

    I see a lot of people making digs at Spurs spending, ironically they are the same people who have been taking digs for years about them not spending! What is it about this little club that drives everyone so mad with what they do?

    There’s a Villa squad “gelling” and then there’s being realistic and accepting Jackson isn’t as good as Watkins, Harwood-Bellis as Konsa, Gomes as Tielemans, Manzambi and Suzuki for all their potential aren’t as good as Rogers and Martinez now.

    This Tottenham team are at home, I expect them to perform. Villa have come here with slightly less pressure. Villa will want a quiet 20 minutes.

    You would have expected them to be at least mid-table and to have scored a goal.

    On paper the squad does look better but there is obviously something that's not working.

    Stu Smith: Quite frankly I’m not surprised both these clubs have had poor starts. Villa sold all their best players and what they have bought in are going to take time to gel. For Spurs, they just overspent and not really improved their squad much.
