    Coventry 1-2 Aston Villa

    Nick Mashiter
BBC Sport football news reporter at the CBS Arena

Ross Barkley's goal has sucked the life out of the home fans a little, who had seen their side threaten to score more, only to fall behind.

It was a poor goal to concede, with Barkley unmarked and more evidence of Coventry's soft centre.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:43 BST

    Coventry 1-2 Aston Villa

Aaron Wan-Bissaka receives a talking to and a yellow card for a little set to with Gustavo Hamer.

I'm not sure it was even him who started that but he gets a proper telling off from Rob Jones anyway.

  3. 'Man Utd are hanging on here'published at 20:42 BST

    Man Utd 2-0 Brighton

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Old Trafford

It's difficult for Pascal Gross. He fires it over the bar as Shea Lacey closes him down. Man United are hanging on a bit here.

  4. Postpublished at 20:42 BST

    Man Utd 2-0 Brighton

Brighton are still in this. Pascal Gross fires high and wide after Ayden Heaven blocked the initial shot.

  5. Postpublished at 20:41 BST

    Coventry 1-2 Aston Villa

Coventry will be really disappointed to have conceded in that manner five minutes before the break.

They had been enjoying a period on top.

  6. goal

GOAL - Coventry 1-2 Aston Villapublished at 20:40 BST

    Ross Barkley (39 mins)

Aston Villa have a corner, it's swung in by Ibrahim Mbaye and it's a free header for Ross Barkley at the near post.

Coventry had left him completely unmarked and they've been punished.

  7. 'Yalcouye's touch was poor'published at 20:38 BST

    Man Utd 2-0 Brighton

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Old Trafford

Malick Yalcouye's second touch was poor. It got stuck under him. Pascal Gross plays a great first-time ball.

He gives Leny Yoro the opportunity and he just does enough to put him off.

  8. Postpublished at 20:38 BST

    Man Utd 2-0 Brighton

Malick Yalcouye scored that brilliant goal against Coventry at the weekend and he has looked like a bright spark at Old Trafford, too.

Brighton have grown into this one.

Marcus Rashford is playing so well. I'm surprised Barcelona didn't sign him.

  10. Postpublished at 20:36 BST

    Man Utd 2-0 Brighton

Ohhh, Malick Yalcouye should pull one back.

He times his run brilliantly to stay onside, he bursts forward then opens his body up but he can't bend his shot into the bottom far corner and it drops wide.

  11. Postpublished at 20:34 BST

    Coventry 1-1 Aston Villa

John McGinn should probably score here.

Things open up for him at the far post and he tries to tuck it into the bottom corner but he drags it wide.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 BST

    Everton 0-0 Wolves

No goals as we enter the break.

  14. Postpublished at 20:33 BST

    Everton 0-0 Wolves

Everton are ending the half on top and Jack Grealish goes down in the box. Home fans want a penalty but nah.

  15. Postpublished at 20:33 BST

    Coventry 1-1 Aston Villa

    Nick Mashiter
BBC Sport football news reporter at the CBS Arena

Coventry put four past Plymouth in the last round of the Carabao Cup but Victor Torp has their first goal at the CBS Arena this season.

After Sunday's 5-0 rout by Brighton the home fans are enjoying it and the Sky Blues are on top now.

Bobby Thomas opted to pass instead of shoot after Tyrone Mings' mistake, wasting a good chance, and Aston Villa have been on the ropes in the last few minutes.

  16. Postpublished at 20:33 BST

    Everton 0-0 Wolves

What a save from Joao Virginia!

It looks all the way a goal for Everton as James Garner crosses and Thierno Barry powers in a header - but somehow the Portuguese, moving the wrong way, reacts in time to get his arm up and claw the ball over the bar.

  17. Postpublished at 20:33 BST

    Coventry 1-1 Aston Villa

Coventry could have had a second there!

Almost a huge gift for the hosts as Aston Villa get caught playing out from the back but Bobby Thomas doesn't fancy the shot on his left foot and instead he lays it off but he should have gone for goal himself. BIG chance.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:31 BST
