Ross Barkley's goal has sucked the life out of the home fans a little, who had seen their side threaten to score more, only to fall behind.

It was a poor goal to concede, with Barkley unmarked and more evidence of Coventry's soft centre.

He gives Leny Yoro the opportunity and he just does enough to put him off.

Malick Yalcouye scored that brilliant goal against Coventry at the weekend and he has looked like a bright spark at Old Trafford, too.

Coventry put four past Plymouth in the last round of the Carabao Cup but Victor Torp has their first goal at the CBS Arena this season.

After Sunday's 5-0 rout by Brighton the home fans are enjoying it and the Sky Blues are on top now.

Bobby Thomas opted to pass instead of shoot after Tyrone Mings' mistake, wasting a good chance, and Aston Villa have been on the ropes in the last few minutes.
