We have plotted a course through the day before transfer deadline day, as all the big deals slowly started to fall into place.

Three deals were completed in the Premier League - scroll down to find out more about Bradley Barcola's £123m move from Paris St-Germain to Liverpool, while Manchester City signed Brazilian winger Allan and Nottingham Forest completed a deal to sign Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace.

Lots more players were flying around Europe to complete medicals - Beto and Gabriel Jesus - check out the details below.

And there were plenty more rumours of deals being done as the clock ticks down to Tuesday's deadline (23:00 BST).

Also at 1pm, Daniel Munoz joined Nottingham Forrest from Crystal Palace for a fee of around £22m.

The 30-year-old moves from Palace, where he worked with now Forest boss Oliver Glasner, on a three-year deal.

“I’m really excited because I can see so much talent, Forest is a team with great players, great qualities and great skills on the pitch," he told the Forest website.

"I can’t wait to get out there so I can help my new team-mates and I think that we’re going to do great things."

An hour before that, at 1pm, two deals were announced.

Manchester City signed 22-year-old Brazilian winger Allan, on a five-year contract in a deal worth up to £34.2m.

The right-sided winger scored nine goals and provided 12 assists in 96 appearances in all competitions for Brazilian top-flight side Palmeiras after progressing through the club's youth system.

Joining Man City, he said: "To be able to sit here today and say I have joined them is the proudest moment of my life.

"We followed the team a lot there in Brazil because of the beautiful football which Manchester City plays."

Let's do this backwards, starting with a deal that was completed at 2pm - and what a deal!

France forward Bradley Barcola sealed a £123m move from Paris St-Germain to Liverpool on a five-year deal.

He will wear the number 29 shirt for the Reds.

Joining Liverpool, the 23-year-old told the club: "It's a great pride to be able to play for Liverpool. I'm very happy.

"It took a long time but I'm really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play."

Chelsea wouldn't want to be left short of players now, would they?

It's hard to keep track of all the movements, so much is happening.

But let's take you through the three key deals that have been completed today before we close this page.

Chelsea have reportedly held talks with the representatives of Roma midfielder Manu Kone.

The 25-year-old, who has been capped by France, has been valued at more than £40m by the Italian club for more than a month.

The interest comes amid uncertainty over Enzo Fernandez's future, with Manchester City considering a move for the midfielder.

Chelsea are understood to want a replacement in place before sanctioning Fernandez's departure and have also shown an interest in Monaco's Lamine Camara.

Any replacement isn't seen as like-for-like but is a response to Chelsea trying to ensure they come out of this transfer window stronger for new manager Xabi Alonso.

It's all happening today, or at least the chess pieces are being moved into position before Tuesday's transfer deadline (23:00 BST).

Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal have announced that the contract of former France and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has been terminated by mutual agreement.

Benzema turns 39 in December. Could there be time for one last hurrah somewhere?

Tottenham are looking at right-sided centre-backs and consider Chelsea's Tosin Adarabioyo an option should Kevin Danso leave.

Initial interest has been registered through intermediaries, with Chelsea having left Tosin out of their main squad.

Benfica and Marseille have also expressed an interest in signing Tosin, who joined the Blues on a free transfer from Fulham in 2024.

Tosin has two years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Newcastle United are closing in on the signing of Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo in a deal worth up to £55m.

Newcastle have been pushing to recruit another attacker in the final days of the transfer window after making seven signings to date this summer.

Fernandez-Pardo was tellingly left out of Lille's squad for the 2-2 draw against Paris St-Germain last week and ordered to train away from the first-team squad until the window shuts on Tuesday and the 21-year-old's future has been resolved.

Newcastle are now finalising a move for Fernandez-Pardo, which could pave the way for fellow forward Nick Woltemade to leave on loan following interest from Juventus.

The Belgium forward has been a longstanding target of Newcastle's - dating back to former head coach Eddie Howe's time in charge - and fits the age range the club have been targeting.

Staying in the North East, there have been reports that Newcastle are closing in on a deal for Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo.

BBC Sport reporter Ciaran Kelly is looking into the latest on that possible deal, but earlier told the website that it promised to be a complicated process...

BBC Radio Newcastle's Sunderland commentator Nick Barnes on the Black Cats' transfer window:

"Sunderland still have business to do over the next 48 hours and hopefully they will get two maybe three players in, in that time to take forwards through the season 'til at least January and through those early stages of the Europa League."

Sunderland head coach Regis Le Bris on how busy he expects to be before the window closes:

"As usual, 24-7."

When asked if he thinks the squad is big enough to compete on all fronts if they don't sign anyone else:

"It's a new experience, so we'll see. I'm really happy with the core of the squad we have. They showed that they were all in today. Much better if we compare with the first game [against Ipswich], so it shows that they are so connected with Sunderland, which is really good.

"After that, if we can add one or two or three, we don't know, signings to help the squad will do it."

Sunderland are working towards signing Tottenham defender Kevin Danso on an initial loan with an option to make the deal permanent.

BBC Sport revealed on Friday that Spurs had rejected an initial loan proposal for Danso but the Black Cats have since reopened talks with a view to signing the Austria international on a permanent basis.

However, the structure of the proposal has now reverted back to a loan but now with an option to turn the transfer permanent ahead of next season.

Tottenham, however, won’t sanction Danso’s exit until they have a secured a replacement - with Chelsea’s Tosin Adarabioyo an option for Roberto De Zerbi’s side.

Arsenal

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has also touched down on foreign soil to undergo medical checks.

The Brazil forward is hoping to seal an £8.6m move to La Liga champions Barcelona.

Everton

It seems Beto's potential move from Everton to Fiorentina is gathering pace.

BBC Sport understands the Portugal-born striker is close to a £15m switch to the Serie A side and pictures have been circulating on social media of him arriving in Florence, where he is expected to undergo a medical.

Right, let's have a look at what has been happening elsewhere since the news dropped on Liverpool signing Bradley Barcola...

Before we move on from Bradley Barcola's signing, just a quick look at why Liverpool were willing to shell out more than £100m for the France forward, Barcola, who prefers to play on the left wing but can operate across the forward line.

The France international will add depth to Andoni Iraola's squad following the departure of Mohamed Salah, the long-term injury absence of Hugo Ekitike and the potential sale of Cody Gakpo.

His game is shaped by a centre-forward's instincts. He played as a striker until the age of 17, something reflected in his movement and shot selection.

Last season, he averaged 3.5 shots per 90 minutes in Ligue 1, placing him among the division's most active shooters despite operating from wide areas.

His 9.83 expected goals (xG) ranked in the 95th percentile among wingers across Europe's top five leagues, meaning only around 5% of wide players consistently found themselves in better goalscoring positions.

Barcola converted those chances into 11 league goals, outperforming his xG, while no PSG player or Ligue 1 winger recorded a higher xG total during the 2025-26 campaign.
