    Wembley runners-up no more. Finally, they get a day to remember forever.

    Southend line up with huge grins on their faces and maybe no one happier than boss Kevin Maher.

    A year ago, they were watching on as Oldham enjoyed all the spoils in the National League promotion final.

    They didn't get to return to that showpiece this year but they do get to raise the FA Trophy in the air this time.

    This is their day. Maybe the start of even more better days to come.

    Here come Wealdstone to collect their runners up medals.

    They look dejected. They had their chances in this game but just couldn't take them.

    And those two penalty saves at the start of the shoot-out gave them too big a mountain to climb.

    "We've worked a lot on pens this week and I was ready to come up. I felt confidence in my abilities to come through.

    "It was tough to come out of the play-off but we are Wembley winning a trophy. Can't get any better than this.

    "As soon as I knew we were taking the penalties on that [Southend] side, my confidence went sky high."
