Unlikely I realise but would love a result here for Burnley simply so we actually have some excitement on the last day of the season

I think it is going to be a difficult game for Arsenal, and I'm not just saying that as an ex-Tottenham player, I really do believe it will be tough.

Arsenal have never been in this situation before, two games left of the season, the title in their hands, it is a new element for this team.

As soon as the whistle blows, every misplaced pass there will be groans, when Burnley attack there will be nerves, and every time Arsenal miss a chance there will be groans. Unless they get an early goal it could be a really difficult night for them.

I've been here at the Emirates a lot this season and the atmosphere was tetchy and nervous. I was here in September for the draw against Man City and that was febrile, real passion and almost desperation.

A couple of weeks ago we were back for the game against Fulham and it felt like a party. It felt like the momentum had completely changed.

I think today is going to be a celebration, the last chance to see the players before potentially lifting the trophy and the Champions League final.

It feels nice to be part of the narrative for tonight’s game, having spent most of the season feeling irrelevant and invisible. Perhaps this Burnley side can find a competitive edge and make themselves part of history after all?

It would go a long way to get the fans back onside, seeing a team play for pride and with fierceness. Let’s at least make this Arsenal side work for the title.

    Arsenal v Burnley (20:00 BST)

Two defeats in a row pulled Man City back into the title race but Arsenal have pulled themselves together to win three on the bounce.

If they make it four tonight, they'll have a hand on the Premier League trophy.

    Arsenal

Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori speaking to Sky Sports: "I hope we can do it today. Obviously I love that atmosphere [from the fans] and I can't wait to see what it will be like on the pitch.

"From my point of view, and from my teammates as well, [tonight's game] is a positive thing that we have to create in the stadium and use it for us.

"We always start in a really good way, especially at home, and we hope today we can do it as well. At the end we just need to win this game. It is just a pleasure to be here and we have to enjoy it, every single second and every single action."

Burnley has nothing to lose. Arsenal have everything. I wouldn’t be surprised if Arsenal drop points.

    Andros Townsend

I think it will be nervy. Burnley will come with one goal: to try to frustrate Arsenal and ruin their season. When teams come with that mindset and you don't score an early goal, it can be a very, very long evening.

I just want to win both of the last 2 games. I don't care how, both 1-0 to the Arsenal will be great. GD isn't even a thought, just get the wins!

  10. Burnley 'have to look at it as an opportunity'published at 19:38 BST

    Arsenal v Burnley (20:00 BST)

Interim Burnley boss Mike Jackson is hoping to see his players thrive against title-chasing Arsenal.

Jackson said: "You look at a game like that and the importance of it to everyone in the competition, but from our point of view, you have to look at it as an opportunity. One - to be involved in a game like that; two - to be excited about that as a platform to go and perform.

"We can't influence everything that's going on around it and all the noise about this game, but what we can do is make sure, like we did against Villa last week, that we're still taking this competition really seriously. That's what we'll do."

  11. Flemming the shining lightpublished at 19:35 BST

    Arsenal v Burnley (20:00 BST)

One shining light for the Clarets this season has been the form of striker Zian Flemming.

He has scored 10 of Burnley's 37 Premier League goals this season and he'll certainly be a handful for Arsenal's defenders tonight.

Burnley have taken just one win from their last 27 league games, and a trip to the Emirates rarely ends well.

Burnley have never scored more than once in a Premier League match against Arsenal. Their record in final away games is thin too, with only two wins in nine top flight seasons.

Still, the fight they showed against Villa suggests they won't simply fade away. Arsenal, with everything on the line, know complacency is the one opponent they cannot let in.

This is about as creative as Arteta can get. On the Gyokeres omission, you are just wondering whether Arteta is expecting Burnley to sit deep and he will need to find the key to unlock the door, and the best way to go about it, is to have Havertz drifting, and Odegaard and Eze loitering. They con the pitch as possible.

After losing four games on the spin, Burnley held fourth-placed Aston Villa to a draw last time at Turf Moor.

They'll need every bit of grit and determination they have if they're going to take a point tonight.

If Arsenal win tonight they will be one match away from the title. They could be confirmed champions tomorrow were Manchester City to fail to win at Bournemouth.

As for long relegated Burnley, they have won once in six months.

  16. 'Use the energy and positivity in the right way'published at 19:22 BST

    Arsenal v Burnley (20:00 BST)

    Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta speaking to Sky Sports: "We want to use the energy and the positivity that is in and around the team in the right way. Emotionally you have to dominate the game, you have to have control and use it in a powerful way because it is something very, very positive for the team."

On changes to the lineup: "The way we finished the game last week, the week that we have had, some players have been able to train and some not. In relation to that also analysing Burnley and the players that are available to start and the best combination to start.

"It's connections and relationships and understanding of what the opponents can do. They were much more aggressive at times against Aston Villa than they were in other games and we expect that to happen today as well."

  20. 'We're not going to make it an easy day for them'published at 19:11 BST

    Arsenal v Burnley (20:00 BST)

    Burnley

Burnley defender Axel Tuanzebe speaking to Sky Sports: "Ultimately for us it is about trying to play our game and perform as players. The pressure is on them and they know what they need to do to make history for themselves. We are opponents and we are here to compete. We're not going to make it an easy day for them.

"You've seen many incidences before where they have had a little bit of pressure and they have struggled with it, so we are counting on that really and to perform ourselves.

"We are playing with freedom, there is no pressure on us at all. Sometimes you see the best of players in these situations and hopefully it's like that for us tonight."
