    Having seen Kusal reach his fifty in the previous over, Kamindu takes a single in the leg side to join him.

    His fifty comes from 56 balls.

    Since the drinks break, it looks like Sri Lanka batters have shown some intensity against spinners.

    Love this from Kusal Mendis, and you have to say it's a big six down the ground.

    Kusal Mendis drops Will Jacks' ball in a gap between long-on and mid-wicket and runs two, then punches four down the ground to bring up the half-century.

    The landmark comes up off 47 balls.

    Kusal Mendis picks up another boundary, fending off a Jamie Overton delivery and sending the ball scudding through an empty cordon for four.

    Kamindu Mendis then goes one better, picking the length of Overton's short ball and sending the ball flying high and over the mid-wicket boundary for six.

    A couple more singles follow to end the over - 13 runs from it.

    It looks like Sri Lanka think Rehan Ahmed is the one they want to go after.

    You feel this is a big series for Ahmed. He has been given the opportunity with Adil Rashid missing with the hand injury.

    I think it has been a good innings so far for Kamindu Mendis.

    His tempo has been brilliant, and he has put the pressure on when he has needed to.

    Generally, his tempo has been pretty good.

    Rehan Ahmed was quite expensive in the last game, even though he bowled nicely.
