
Ethiopia: WFP sends relief to starving conflict regions
World Food Programme has announced that it has delivered essential food aid to millions in Ethiopia's Tigray, Afar, and Amhara regions.
The Ethiopian government has imposed a night curfew in Gambella city, west of the country as part of efforts to “control illegal activities”. Meanwhile the World Food Program has also announced that it has delivered essential food aid to millions in Ethiopia's Tigray, Afar, and Amhara regions.
Also on the program, the President of France has said he wants to rethink his country's military posture in Africa. Emmanuel Macron made the comments in an address to French troops ahead of the Bastille Day parade in Paris.
Plus, in Zimbabwe, an exhibition of 1940s paintings that have returned to the country after 70 years, has opened at the National Gallery in Harare. “The Stars Are Bright” features work from students at Cyrene Mission near Bulawayo – the first mission school in Zimbabwe to offer art as a subject to young black students.
And, our Resident Presidents have a strong message for the young Africans who recently answered a satisfaction survey about their individual countries.
