South Africa: Police investigate the deaths of 22 young people at popular bar

Police in South Africa are investigating the mysterious death of 22 teenagers after a night out at a bar in the city of East London. There are reports that many of the victims may have been celebrating end of year exams.

In Nigeria’s north-western state of Zamfara officials are calling on locals to arm themselves against criminal gangs. They say it’s part of measures to try and deal with the rising numbers of kidnappings and violent attacks.
