Rights group says Russian mercenaries operating in CAR

The Central Africa Director at Human Rights Watch says there is evidence that members of the Russian private military company, Wagner Group, are operating in the Central African Republic.

The UN Secretary General António Guterres, who is on a tour of West Africa, is visiting Nigeria’s Borno state to meet with families affected by Islamist insurgency.

And South Africa's opposition politician John Steenhuisen has embarked on a six-day fact finding mission to Ukraine.
