UN chief visits insurgency victims in Nigeria’s Borno state

The UN Secretary General António Guterres, who is on a tour of West Africa, is visiting Nigeria’s Borno state to meet with families affected by Islamist insurgency.

Mali’s military government says it is breaking off all defence agreements and co-operation with its former colonial ruler France.
